How to use the Bluelab pH Pen?
Turn the pH Pen on using the power button. Place it into a nutrient solution or recently-watered growing medium and select the “pH” or “temperature” setting.
Keep the pen in the substrate for a few seconds and a reading will appear on the LCD screen.
The ideal pH range for nutrient absorption is between 5.5 and 6.5 and the ideal temperature is between 18 and 21℃ (64 to 70℉).
Users should regularly calibrate the pH Pen (approx. every 10 uses) to ensure it stays as accurate as possible. Use a solution like Growth Technology EC Standard to calibrate the meter.
The appliance comes with a pH calibration indicator – so it will show users when it has been successfully calibrated and is ready to use again.
